What is PET Film used on solar panels?
PET (also known as Polyethylene terephalate) is a type of plastic material which is commonly used as bottle and containers in our daily life due to its chemical stability and non-toxic character. It is different the PET (Polyester films) that solar panel manufacturers use as the back sheet of tempered glass laminated solar panel for solar power plant/station. It has good transparency up to 93% and not easy to be scratched, which makes it a good option as a protective layer above the solar cell. This allows good sunlight absorption while keeping the solar panel lightweight (compared to glass laminated solar panels)
Laminated Solar Panel Advantages:
Laminated Solar Panel Features:
1). Use the environmental friendly materials, avoiding any risk to the people and environment in the whole life of our products.
2). Advanced encapsulation process ensures a high resistance against UV, temperature and weather.
3). Coverage with fewer units, and less balancd of system cost.
4). Less hotspot effect for thin film solar modules.
5). Good Weak light performance.
6). Low temperature Coefficients
7). Pretty appearance, well matching the building.
Laminated Solar Panel Applications:
Thin film solar panels are used in mostly low power applications from powering calculators, watches, toys to boats and rooftops.
